Crossing Jordan Spoilers, Speculation & Gossip

Crossing Jordan is officially canceled by NBC

Monday, May 14th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

crossingjordancast.jpg

Crossing Jordan is no more, and the season finale of the series - which airs this week - will also be the series finale.

I was so hoping for that reprieve after rumors abounded that maybe it would be coming back. But alas it has been chopped off the fall schedule.

Spoilers on the Crossing Jordan season (or series?) finale

Thursday, May 10th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

We all know there will be a plane crash to end this season… which could also possibly be the series finale. And we have some spoilers, including about Woody & Jordan.

The team is in a plane crash, which crashes into a mountainside, with apparently the entire team surviving (not sure about any passengers/crew though). They become stranded on the mountain, and rescue doesn’t seem to be coming very quickly. But Jordan will finally come to realize just how strong and deep her feelings for Woody are…. Yea! Also, look to see more Bug/Lily relationship too!

There also might have been two endings shot for this episode, to take into account whether it is ending the season or the series. But rescue (in at least one of the endings) is by helicopter to take the team to safety.

The season finale airs on Wednesday, May 16th. And we should know next week whether Crossing Jordan will get a seventh season or not.

Crossing Jordan might be back for a seventh season

Monday, May 7th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

crossingjordan2.jpg

Crossing Jordan might be back for a seventh season after all. Rumor has it that NBC is rethinking whether to bring back Crossing Jordan or not… while there had been plenty of talk that this could be the final season, and with the huge plane crash season finale episode that could stand as a series finale, things weren’t looking very good at all. But we just might here that Crossing Jordan is coming back. And with the season finale on May 16th, we should hopefully know by then if it will be the series finale or simply the season finale.

Crossing Jordan’s Miguel Ferrer joins The Bionic Woman pilot cast

Tuesday, March 27th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Crossing Jordan fans have yet another thing to worry about… Miguel Ferrer who plays Garret Macy has signed onto the NBC pilot of The Bionic Woman.

“The Bionic Woman,” a remake of the 1970s series, stars British actress Michelle Ryan as Jaime Sommers, who has body parts replaced with super-strong artificial parts after a horrific accident. Ferrer will play the head of the government agency that rebuilt her, and Bowers (”Rescue Me”) will play her boyfriend.

Ferrer has played Dr. Garret Macy on “Crossing Jordan” for the past six seasons. The HR says that if “Bionic Woman” goes to series, he could possibly remain on both shows; however, he’s the second “Jordan” regular (after Jerry O’Connell) to take pilot work this spring, which may not bode well for its future.

I’d say it’s not looking very good for Crossing Jordan fans.

Crossing Jordan’s Leslie Bibb to guest star on CSI: Miami

Monday, March 12th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Leslie Bibb’s character Lu was recently killed on Crossing Jordan last month, but the actress will be turning up next month on an episode of CSI: Miami, where she will have a multiple role playing three women.

After a wealthy businessman is killed at a charity event the CSI’s first suspect his wife who was hosting the event. The blood evidence is thought to belong to the wife or her two secret twin sisters but leads the investigators in another direction after the victim is not who they thought he was.

She plays Ashley Whitford, Cayla Selby and Beth Selby in the episode.

I am happy to see Leslie back after she written out of Crossing Jordan. And I am happy it is CSI: Miami, another of my favorite shows.

This episode, titled Triple Threat, is currently scheduled to air on March 19, 2007 at 10pm on CBS.

Crossing Jordan gets timeslot bump yet again from NBC

Monday, February 19th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

crossingjordancast.jpg

OK, what is it with NBC not giving Crossing Jordan a fair shake? The more things like this they pull, the less likely it is looking that next season will be a reality for the drama.

NBC has moved Crossing Jordan in a slot that will see it air directly across from American Idol, which is a death sentence for just about any show that is unlucky enough to be going against the popular reality show. Crossing Jordan will now air on Wednesdays at 9pm. However, Crossing Jordan wins in my DVR!

Second part of Crossing Jordan & Las Vegas crossover finally airs

Sunday, February 11th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Remember the two part crossover episode that saw Woody & Jordan in Las Vegas then Danny & Delinda in Boston? Well it all got screwed up when Crossing Jordan got bumped from the Friday night schedule (remember Las Vegas & Crossing Jordan used to air back-to-back?) Well, Las Vegas aired their episode when it was scheduled, even though Jordan was still in jail back on Crossing Jordan, but now the second part of the crossover that was airing on Crossing Jordan is finally set to air tonight!

The episode is titled Crazy Little Thing Called Love.

Josh Duhamel and Molly Sims guest star as their “Las Vegas” characters, Danny McCoy and Delinda Deline, whose Boston vacation turns into a crime-busting mission when they help Jordan and Woody investigate the murder of a boxing champ. Meanwhile, Bug works on the case of a woman who was found in the Charles River—and had been there since the 1980s. And a pregnant Lily returns to work and reveals the identity of the baby’s father.

Now, is it just me, or don’t we already know who the father of Lily’s baby is? Or did she and Bug get it on behind the scenes without any of us knowing? I doubt it, so I don’t know why it is an issue that she is announcing who fathered her baby.

I still can remember Danny and Jordan in their pajama scene when he was commenting on her rubber ducky jammies when he arrived at her door late on night. And with the title of the episode, wonder if Jordan will be getting lucky with anyone… Danny? Woody? Well, we can always hope, she deserves some happiness after the whole J.D. fiasco.

Crossing Jordan ending this season? Season finale plane crash could be series finale

Saturday, February 10th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

crossingjordancast.jpg

Michael Ausiello says that this could be Crossing Jordan’s final season. I love Crossing Jordan, as you may have noticed, and I am so disappointed to hear that this season’s season finale might turn into a series finale instead.

Got any scoop on Crossing Jordan?— Leslie
Ausiello: The season (and possibly series) finale will revolve around a big plane crash. Among the passengers: Jordan, Woody, Macy, Bug, Nigel and Kate. In other words, the entire frakkin’ cast!

Remember the last plane crash on Crossing Jordan? I hope this one will be a bit better, and with everyone as passengers, this could be interesting! Wonder if Lily is missing from the list because of her pregnancy?

Am I surprised that this could be the series finale instead of just the season finale? Well, Crossing Jordan certainly got the short end of the stick this season, after getting bumped from the schedule for the 1 Vs. 100 game show.

Crossing Jordan’s Jerry O’Connell guest stars with fiance on Ugly Betty

Saturday, January 27th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

I admit, I love Jerry O’Connell on Crossing Jordan, and love it when he pops up on other shows, even his crossover episodes with Las Vegas. And now it is revealed that he is going to be guest starring on Ugly Betty with his lovely finance Rebecca Romijn.

Word is that he will arrive and Rebecca’s transgendered character will be hitting on him!

No word on when Jerry’s episode will air, but we will of course keep you posted!

Could Lily be pregnant on Crossing Jordan?

Sunday, January 14th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

lilylebowski.jpg
We all know that someone is getting pregnant on Crossing Jordan. While the Jordan & Woody shippers hope it would be them, I am putting my money on it being Lily who just left her fiance at the alter for Bug. And in an upcoming episode, Lily receives a “surprise” on the January 21st episode, the third episode of the sixth season.

Jordan and Lu investigate the suicide of a teen, whose note indicated that he’d been molested; Woody looks into the gruesome death of a woman who was hit by several cars on a highway; Macy warns Jordan that she needs to do things by the book when an investigator starts poking around the office; and Lily receives some surprising news.

Could a pregnancy be the surprising news?

Viggo Mortensen offered Crossing Jordan role

Wednesday, December 20th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

crossingjordancast.jpg

A few months back, we heard that Crossing Jordan was casting a “sexy, funny and slightly cocky cop.” Well, spoilers have it that Viggo Mortensen (yes, THAT Viggo Mortensen of Lord of the Rings fame) has been offered the role! I loved Viggo in Lord of the Rings, and would be ecstatic if he was to land on Crossing Jordan, especially in that kind of a role.

No word on whether it would be a long-term role, or for a storyline arc (or possibly just a single episode) but I’ll take Viggo any way on Crossing Jordan :)

New cast members join Crossing Jordan

Wednesday, December 13th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

When NBC finally announced the season premiere of Crossing Jordan, they also released some details on two new cast members being added to the show.

This season, trouble is in store for Jordan and her colleagues when Special Prosecutor William Ivers (Jeffrey Donovan, “Touching Evil”) is appointed to investigate the morgue; and Kate Switzer (Brooke Smith, “Silence of the Lambs”), a prickly medical examiner, joins the coroner’s office.

No word on if these characters are recurring or regular cast members. One could become a regular, since we already know a regular character will be dying on the show this season.

Crossing Jordan is BACK! Season premiere date announced

Wednesday, November 29th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

It has been a long time coming, but NBC has finally given Crossing Jordan a season premiere date for its sixth season, as well as a “new” timeslot.

Crossing Jordan’s season premiere will be January 21, 2007, airing on Sundays from 10-11pm. This is a better timeslot than the former Friday night slot (which NBC had given it for its original season premiere), which can be a dead zone for shows, but it also means it will no longer be airing back to back with Las Vegas, which remains on Friday nights.

It will be interesting to see how Crossing Jordan fares now that it will no longer air opposite powerhouse hit Grey’s Anatomy, which has moved to Thursdays for its third season. But now in that time slot is new show Brothers & Sisters which has been doing better than expected in the ratings.

Crossing Jordan’s season premiere date removed from NBC website

Wednesday, October 18th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

It has taken a while, but it looks like the webmasters at NBC have finally remembered that the Crossing Jordan website says that the series still said the season premiere was this Thursday, October 20th. Now it has been changed to simply say “RETURNING SOON”.

Still no official word on a new season premiere date for all those fans wondering what has happened to Jill Hennessey’s character.

Crossing Jordan’s Miguel Ferrer on Celebrity Jeopardy

Sunday, October 8th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

jeopardyceleb.jpg

Celebrity Jeopardy is taping episodes to air in November, and Crossing Jordan’s Miguel Ferrer (Garret Macy) was one of the contestants. He defeats Steve Schirripa of The Sopranos and Harry Smith of the Early Show.

There are 30 celebrities competing for one million dollars, going to charity of course.

Miguel Ferrer (Crossing Jordan) defeated Harry Smith (The Early Show) and Steve Schirripa (The Sopranos), winning a combined $100,000 for their individual charities.

Can you believe how many people went to Radio City Music Hall to watch the tapings? WOW. And yes, that is envy you detect in my typing :P Click here for the scoop on ALL the stars who are taping episodes.

Beloved character returns to Crossing Jordan in 9th episode of the season

Monday, October 2nd, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

The ninth episode of Crossing Jordan will feature the return of a “beloved” character.

I JUST finished reading “7 Feet Under” which is [episode] 609 and it is fantastic!  I love getting to the last page of a script and closing it saying, “damn.”  It also features the return of one of our beloved  characters, which I’m thrilled we have back.

So which character could be returning?  It could be Max, although that rumor has supposedly been shot down.  It could be Dr. Peter Winslow, portrayed by Ivan Sergei, although he will be appearing in a new FOX pilot Drive.  Renee Walcott?  Does Dr. Howard Stiles count as beloved?

Crossing Jordan & Las Vegas crossover a go despite CJ being pulled from the schedule

Monday, October 2nd, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

There had been a lot of concern about what would become of the Crossing Jordan & Las Vegas crossover, that had been scheduled to air this season.  Both shows were set to debut back-to-back on October 20th, but NBC bumped Crossing Jordan from the lineup for the new game show 1 Vs. 100.

Chad Darnell, the assistant to producer on Crossing Jordan, has some unofficial scoop on the crossover on his blog.

In regards to the “Vegas” crossover, (again, I’m not the NBC spokesperson) - but a few fans wrote concerned about how that would work out.  The two episodes are actually stand alone episodes, so they will simply air as two different episodes on each show.  The storylines and the character plots are not affected.

I can’t be the only one who had hoped that the crossover was one that would require Crossing Jordan to premier the same day as Las Vegas!

Crossing Jordan bumped from fall lineup for Bob Saget game show

Sunday, October 1st, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Although the website still says Crossing Jordan will begin the new season on Friday October 20th at 8pm, it has been bumped by a 5-week run of a new Bob Saget hosted game show called “1 vs 100″.

So what does this mean for Crossing Jordan fans? It would appear that fans will be waiting until the new year to find out Jordan’s fate after the death of J.D. A five week run would push the first possible season opener during that time slot to November 17th, which is late for any fall season premier. So look for a mid-season debut, which will undoubtedly upset many Crossing Jordan fans.

The website still states an October 20th season debut, so no clues there as to when the new season could start.

And it brings into question how this will effect the upcoming crossover episodes with the show Las Vegas, which is (was?) set for an October 20th season premier, back to back with Crossing Jordan. The fourth episode of Las Vegas is supposed to be “History of Violins” airing on November 10th, which features Woody.

So who is getting pregnant on Crossing Jordan?

Friday, September 29th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

TV Guide on September 16th had a few spoilers about Crossing Jordan, one namely being about an unexpected pregnancy.  But just who is going to end up pregnant?

Jordan could be the one, and since she had relations with both Woody and the now-deceased JD, whose baby could it be?

Lu is another possible candidate.  However, I think fans would revolt if Woody was tied to her permanently with a baby, especially with all the sexual tension between Jordan and Woody.  But they can’t exactly pull a Renee Walcott (she was dating Garret, then had a supposed hookup with her ex-husband, resulting in her pregnancy, which was written due to Susan Gibney’s real-life pregnancy).

Could it be Lily?  This seems likely, since she just got together with Bug in last year’s season finale.  It would introduce an interesting dynamic to their new relationship.

On the outside, it could be Abby, Garret’s daughter, or perhaps his ex-wife Maggie if they get together once again in their on-again-off-again relationship.

There will be some new characters introduced this season as well, so it could always be one of them.  It remains to be seen who will be the one who ends up preggers.
